Jens Hartmann has been working professionally in photography for over 15 years. He holds a background in visual storytelling and has exhibited his work in selected galleries and private collections.
I’m a photographer based in Frankfurt, Germany, working primarily in black & white and desaturated color. My images are created during slow, immersive journeys – often across Iceland, the Alps, or desert regions – where I spend weeks or months observing light, form, and silence.
My approach is minimalist, both in composition and process. I use natural light only, work with prime lenses, and capture most scenes in early morning fog, twilight, or winter stillness – when time seems to pause.
What I seek are not dramatic moments, but quiet geometries.
A ridge softened by snow. A dune sculpted by wind. A line of fog dissolving into silence.
My photographs are available as limited edition prints – carefully produced, signed, and meant to last.
